General surgery

                                        The Department of General Surgery provides comprehensive Surgical services. Elective and emergency surgical procedures are performed throughout the year. All Benign and malignant diseases are scientifically managed. Malignancies are discussed in a forum of the Tumor Board consisting of surgeons and medical and Radiation Oncologists, and decisions are made on treatment.

            A wide range of open and laparoscopic procedures are being done. All benign and Malignant Thyroid nodules, Neck masses, Breast diseases, GI diseases, Hernias, Diabetic foot, Peripheral Vascular Diseases, and Skin and soft tissue infections are managed with the utmost care and comfort of the patients. A well-equipped state-of-the-art Radiology Department facilitates in early diagnosis of suspicious lesions and aids in wire-guided biopsy/excision of non-palpable lesions in the breast. Trauma cases including blunt & penetrating injuries of the abdomen are attended to on time.

              Daycare Procedures include excision of small lumps, breast lumps, lymph node biopsy, and Incision and Drainage of abscesses                                                                                                                                                                   Diagnostic Upper Gastrointestinal endoscopy and Colonoscopy are done as per indications. Endoscopic Banding, sclerotherapy for bleeding varices / ulcers, and dilatation of strictures are some of the endoscopic therapeutic procedures being done.
